Isibindi?

Isibindi is the Xhosa word for Being Brave | Having courage | Going in with guts
___________________________________________________________
We  strive  to be brave in every situation that we might face. We also encourage our youth to live life with courageous hearts. In Matthew 14 we read the story of Peter who walked on the water in the midst of a storm. Regardless of his fear, Peter was brave enough to have faith and take the first step.
Life may hold all sorts of storms. Let’s be brave and take the first step.

Welcome to Isibindi Initiatives

Welcome to Isibindi Initiatives.

Isibindi Initiatives is ‘n registered non-profit company (Sec 21 - 2020/476542/08; Sec18A - 930070963 ) founded in 2020.  At Isibindi, we aim to create places and spaces where youth from difficult or disadvantaged backgrounds can become  part of a community and have the support to  courageously pursue their purpose and passions. We strive to be a family with ISIBINDI.

We believe that all people are worthy of belonging to a family and we want to create a feeling of home that is stronger than the hardships these youth have faced. We believe that hope is always possible, and that grace is always present.

Friends of Echo

Since 2013 we have developed homes for youth in need in Table View, Ysterplaat  and  Stellenbosch in partnership with Echo Youth Development. Each home consists of house leaders as well as tenants who mainly consist of youth that have no other family or place of belonging.. Although we have since grown into our own NPC, we are still a  part of the bigger Echo family. Find out more about Echo at: www.echoyouth.co.za
